We regularly treat patients from across regional Queensland and Victoria as well as the rest of Australia – our team are experts in coordinating treatment to minimise your time away from home.
We will do whatever we can to make the process easy for you, so you only have to focus on staying healthy and relaxed.
Initial Consultation & Fertility Assessment Tests
Your first consultation with a Fertility Doctor, or one of our Fertility Specialists, can be conducted via a teleconference or video conferencing. You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on video consultations if you are within Australia.
We can arrange for you to have appropriate blood tests and other investigations carried out locally. Along with a thorough medical history, the results of these tests will enable your treating to doctor to recommend appropriate treatment options to you.
Further Investigations
In some cases, it may be necessary to have further investigations. If a laparoscopy or surgical sperm retrieval become necessary, it is possible to stay in Melbourne or Brisbane close to our clinics.
Nurse Education and Ongoing Support
Once you and your treating doctor have agreed on a treatment plan, we will put your in touch with one of our experienced Fertility Nurses. They will discuss your treatment with you and answer any questions you may have.
Our caring nurses will provide you with ongoing support via video consult, phone, or email.
Treatment
Procedures like IVF will require a short visit to Melbourne or Brisbane so you can have your eggs collected. Then a return visit is required for your embryo transfer. It is generally possible to fly in and out on the same day for these procedures.
Much of the rest of your treatment plan can be managed remotely with local doctors doing appropriate tests and monitoring.
Accommodation
We are centrally located in both Melbourne and Brisbane and there are many hotels nearby. You can easily choose your own hotel or locate one in Brisbane through our Local Accommodation page.
Follow-up Appointments and Pregnancy
Your follow-up checks to monitor whether the pregnancy has been successful can be done closer to where you live and discussed via tele consult with your treating doctor.
Getting started
When you are ready to go ahead, simply get in touch and tell us that you would like to manage your initial consultation and treatment plan from where you live. We will explain in more detail how we can work together at a distance.
